Because the best gift for mom might just be frosting on her nose.

Australian home and lifestyle brand Anko launched its Mother’s Day celebrations with a tea party and cupcake-decorating workshop at TriNoma on April 12 — and if the sugar rush wasn’t enough, two more sessions are coming: Ayala Malls Manila Bay on April 18 and Ayala Malls Feliz on April 25.

Armed with Anko’s silicone bakeware, mixing bowls, spatulas, and serveware, moms and kids rolled up their sleeves and got to work — piping frosting, adding sprinkles, and generally making a beautiful mess together. Leading the fun is content creator Ivi Piadozo, better known as Mommy Ivi of @ourdailyulam fame on TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook. Equal parts guide and hype woman, she walked guests through decorating techniques while proving that a cupcake session is secretly just quality time in disguise.

And the celebrations don’t stop at the last swipe of frosting. Every weekend from April 18 to May 10, kids across all five branches — Glorietta, Alabang Town Center, TriNoma, Ayala Malls Manila Bay, and Ayala Malls Feliz — can make paper bouquets for mom at Flowers for Mom workshops. On May 9 and 10, moms get their own reward: a complimentary hair styling session. Anko Club members who spend a minimum of ₱1,500 on select weekends also score a free limited-edition tote bag.

Established in 2017, Anko is part of the Kmart Group under Australia’s Wesfarmers Ltd., and has made it its business to make everyday life a little brighter — and apparently, a lot sweeter — for Filipino families.
