BuyBuddy, the country’s first Buy One Get One (BOGO) subscription app for dining and lifestyle, officially launched Wednesday night in Makati with a straightforward answer to that dilemma: one for me, one for free.
For ₱299 a month, subscribers unlock exclusive BOGO vouchers at a curated roster of food and lifestyle merchants. Select a promo deal on the app, show up, and walk away with twice the experience without spending twice the amount.
The timing makes sense. According to the Philippine Statistics Authority’s Summary Inflation Report, the country’s inflation rate jumped to 8.5% in April 2026 from 4.2% in March — a sharp climb that has made everyday dining feel less like a given and more like a decision.
“BuyBuddy was built to solve the consumer budget and business growth gap,” said CEO and founder Raquel Decena. “By connecting value-driven customers with quality merchants, we ensure that subscribers can enjoy great food and amazing experiences at no additional cost while businesses grow sustainably.”
The app is designed to work for both sides of the table. For merchants — particularly the micro, small, and medium enterprises already absorbing rising production costs — BuyBuddy offers a zero setup fee, zero ad spend model. Instead of paying for visibility, partner businesses gain real foot traffic and a shot at turning first-time visitors into regulars.
At its core, BuyBuddy is less about discounts and more about making the madiskarte Filipino mindset work harder. The idea is simple: a vibrant social life and smart spending are not mutually exclusive, especially when your monthly coffee budget now comes with a plus-one built in.
