Worry has a way of settling into everyday life. It creeps into quiet moments and follows you through routine tasks, turning simple actions — like checking your phone — into repeated searches for reassurance.

That anxiety grew during the months before Moose, Max and Maxine moved from La Union to Metro Manila. Born and raised in La Union, they’d been constant companions through different seasons of my life. Their greetings at the door, steady presence and small daily rituals were easy to take for granted—until the idea of leaving them behind made their absence unimaginable.

Bringing them to Metro Manila was more than a change of address. It was the possibility of being reunited and starting a new chapter together.

A journey supported by community

Animal welfare often reveals how connected people really are. Reunions, rescues and relocations rarely happen alone; they require time, expertise and goodwill.

Friends advised and encouraged. Ro and Cyries of Drop In Pet Sitting LU cared for the trio while final arrangements were made, giving me the stability to focus on the next steps. Those kinds of helping hands—every recommendation, conversation and act of kindness—moved the process forward

Discovering Pawsitive

As plans firmed up, my focus shifted to ensuring Moose, Max and Maxine arrived safely. That’s when Pawsitive entered the story.

What struck me first was the speed of response. It was after office hours, yet Deo, a Pawsitive staffer, replied right away. The urgency of the situation was acknowledged, and for the first time since arranging the move, I felt heard.

That responsiveness continued. Questions were answered thoughtfully and concerns met with understanding. I wasn’t evaluating brand philosophies; I simply wanted to know my pets would be safe.

You can tell people who genuinely care about animals by how they talk about them, the questions they ask and the attention they give to small but important details. Meeting the Pawsitive team confirmed that: professionalism and structure paired with warmth. The staff understood that every animal has a personality, history and needs that deserve respect.

The space between departure and reunion

Saying goodbye and waiting for reunion can feel long. The day before the transfer I checked my phone constantly for updates. Were they comfortable? Had they eaten? Were they resting?

Coordination required effort. Sean personally drove to La Union to retrieve Moose, Max and Maxine, a commitment that went beyond completing a transport job. Regular updates and videos became meaningful touchpoints. What may have seemed routine to the people sending them mattered enormously to someone waiting on the other end.

On a map the distance between La Union and Metro Manila is measurable. Emotionally, it felt much greater. Each timely update helped bridge that gap until we were finally together again.

More than a name

The name Pawsitive revealed its meaning through the experience. In a time of worry and uncertainty, the team’s communication and care brought reassurance. The name became synonymous with trust and peace of mind—what many pet parents value most.

After the reunion, I learned more about the philosophy behind Pawsitive from co-owner Michelle Co. She said the brand grew from “the collective energy of the pet-loving community” and the belief that pets radiate love that benefits humans. She described Kaizen, a commitment to continuous improvement, and Kodawari, a dedication to craftsmanship, pride and attention to detail.

Pawsitive’s services include PAWSSENGER, a transport concept built around the idea that pets should never feel like freight. The aim is not just to move animals but to make them feel safe, relaxed and supported on the journey itself. That philosophy matched the thoughtful care I’d seen throughout the process.

Pawsitive reunion

The updates gave way to something better: seeing Moose, Max and Maxine in person. Months of planning, coordination and waiting culminated in that reunion. They were the same companions I had known, and also the travelers who had completed a meaningful transition.

Today they are settling into Metro Manila life, embraced by a growing family and adjusting to new routines while staying affectionate and playful. They carry memories of La Union and are learning a new home. For them, Pawsitive helped bridge one chapter to the next. For me, they brought my heart closer to where home is.

For pet parents looking for boarding, transport and holistic pet care in Metro Manila, Pawsitive offers services and a care philosophy built on trust.
