Technology is changing how AIM's students learn — and a new gift to the school shows how far that change has come.

Classrooms no longer stop at four walls. Physical and virtual boundaries increasingly blend, letting learners from different countries collaborate in real time as one community. For institutions built to develop future leaders, that shift is hard to ignore.

That's the vision behind the latest milestone from AIM Scientific Research Foundation, Inc. (AIM SRF) for the Asian Institute of Management (AIM). Through sustained partnership-building and donor stewardship, the Foundation secured a major philanthropic commitment from a long-standing supporter. The terms of the gift remain confidential at the donor's request, but the milestone reflects the trust partners place in the Foundation's stewardship and its vision for education.

One of the first results: the rehabilitation of another state-of-the-art caseroom at AIM.

How the AIM Scientific Research Foundation is cultivating partnerships, modernizing learning spaces, and preparing the next generation of leaders.
Behind every transformational gift

Every significant philanthropic investment begins long before a donation is made.

As AIM's social development arm, AIM SRF operates as more than a fundraising office. It identifies opportunities, builds lasting donor relationships, and aligns philanthropic goals with the Institute's priorities.

The Foundation also acts as steward — managing expectations, keeping communication open, and maintaining transparency throughout each partnership. By balancing a donor's vision with AIM's strategic goals, AIM SRF turns generosity into investment in teaching, research, innovation, and student development.

That relationship-first approach has let AIM SRF build partnerships on trust and accountability — the kind the Foundation expects will keep shaping education for years to come.

A caseroom built for tomorrow's learners

The newly rehabilitated caseroom is more than an upgraded classroom. It reflects AIM's push to build learning spaces suited to a changing world.

Built for modern management education, the space integrates:

  • Dedicated cameras for professors and students

  • Dual front projection systems

  • Rear television displays

  • An interactive digital screen

  • Integrated audio

  • Gooseneck microphones for students

  • Wireless handheld or lapel microphones for faculty

The result is a fully connected classroom. Students and faculty joining remotely — from communities across the Philippines or anywhere else in the world — can attend in real time, join discussions, collaborate with classmates, and take part in AIM's Case Method as though they were in the room. Distance no longer keeps anyone from participating.

By linking physical and virtual learning, the caseroom widens access to AIM's management education and mirrors the modern workplace, where leaders communicate across cultures and time zones as a matter of course.

Strategic philanthropy driving innovation

The caseroom is one example of what philanthropy can do for an institution.

As artificial intelligence, digital transformation, sustainability, and globalization reshape industries, schools have to keep pace. Partnerships with donors let AIM SRF invest in learning spaces, faculty, research, scholarships, and academic initiatives that keep AIM competitive in graduate management education.

The Foundation's role goes beyond fundraising. It connects philanthropy to institutional priorities, letting AIM respond to the changing needs of business, government, and society. Each successful partnership strengthens AIM's ability to deliver that education and contributes to the broader state of education in the Philippines.

Building relationships that build the future

AIM SRF's work isn't limited to single projects. Each donor relationship rests on trust, transparency, and shared purpose, and the Foundation turns that giving into opportunities for both current students and future generations of leaders.

The rehabilitated caseroom shows what's possible when donors and stewards work together — a facility that stands for AIM's commitment to innovation, accessibility, and educational quality.

AIM SRF has expressed its gratitude to the donor for the confidence placed in both the Foundation and AIM. Together, they aim to build learning spaces that support innovation, expand access to quality education, and prepare ethical, globally competitive, and socially responsible leaders.

As the Foundation continues building these partnerships, each milestone makes the same point: the biggest investments aren't measured by buildings or technology, but by the leaders they help develop.
