Takumi brings the spirit of Japanese craftsmanship and omotenashi — Japan's tradition of wholehearted hospitality — to Makati. Backed by a Kyoto-based company and guided by Japanese culinary expertise, the restaurant offers an authentic dining experience built on tradition, precision and heartfelt service.

Named after the Japanese word for "master craftsman," Takumi reflects that commitment in every detail, from carefully selected ingredients to the warm, attentive way each guest is welcomed.

Guests can experience some of Japan's most celebrated culinary traditions, including:

Warayaki – This dramatic straw-fire grilling technique, used for Takumi's signature tataki dishes, originated in Tosa, Japan. Dried straw burns at extremely high heat to sear ingredients in seconds, locking in flavor and infusing a smoky aroma no conventional grill can replicate.

Robata-yaki – A traditional charcoal-grilling method that draws out the natural flavors of premium meats, seafood and vegetables through precise cooking over glowing coals.

Omi beef – One of Japan's oldest and most prestigious wagyu brands, prized for its exceptional marbling, buttery texture and remarkable tenderness.
